‘Art in the City’, a weeklong annual arts festival, takes place from Tuesday 6th - Sunday 11th April and involves open spaces and galleries across the city of Truro. The festival in funded by Totally Truro, the organisation delivering Truro’s Business Improvement District (BID). The purpose of the festival is to create an event to make art accessible to the community; that celebrates existing artists and galleries within Truro and to open up opportunities for new artists. Totally Truro aims to encourage the accessibility of art for all, whether through the creation of art or as an observer, and this is reflected in the variety of events incorporated into the week. From ‘Big Art’ to the ‘Art Fair’ and from events in the city’s galleries to an open art competition, we hope you will enjoy being a part of this year’s ‘Art in the City’ festival in Truro.
